Welcome to Florence! When you arrive in Florence you will be met at the airport by a Perillo Groups guide and transferred to your hotel in Florence. After you enjoy some quiet time to relax and settle into your hotel, join your Perillo Groups Concierge for a short welcome briefing. Afterwards you will experience an independent evening exploring the spectacular city of Florence.

After breakfast at the hotel, get ready to embark on your first full day in beautiful Florence! This morning, you will take your first Italian language class session which will include an assessment, placement and introduction to the course. After class, break free for an independent lunch before starting your tour of the city! Florence has a rich history in the Renaissance era, which will be evident as you gaze upon the historical architecture of the city, specifically in the Florence Cathedral, completed with unique gothic-style design of a red-brick dome which offers an unforgettable view of the city's terracotta rooftops amid rolling, Tuscan hills. Stop by the markets to grab a decadent Italian Gelato and see the unique fashions of Florence. Even peek into a local museum to see one of the most celebrated works of art globally, the David Statue!  After this insightful city tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel for an independent dinner and evening at your leisure.

This morning after breakfast, you will be transported to your second session of Italian language at the local school from the morning to the afternoon. After you break for lunch, it’s time to explore something Italy is best known for, it's local artisans. This afternoon we will visit local artisans shops dedicated to etching, leather working and florentine mosaics. After your  visit, you will be transported back to  the hotel for an independent dinner and an evening at your leisure.

This morning after breakfast, you will be transported to your third session of Italian language at the local school from the morning until afternoon when you will break for lunch. Spend your afternoon dedicated to art history and visit San Miniato, Monumental Cemetery, Piazzale Michelangelo and the Rose Garden. Afterwards you will be escorted to a second set of wineries! Amidst your cultural learning, pair your wine with merenda, a typical Tuscan afternoon snack. Merenda is a favorite tradition of Italian locals, translating to “something to deserve it” and consists of local ingredients of the area! After your art immersion, you will be transported back to your hotel for your independent dinner and relaxation time.

After breakfast, you will be transported to your fourth session of Italian language at the local school from the morning to the afternoon. After you break for lunch, it’s time to explore something Italy is best known for; vineyards! The Chianti area is a globally known spot for some of the world’s best vineyards. Taste your way through Tuscany by immersing yourself in the art and taste of traditional wine making. Tour around the beautiful countryside setting, learn about the rich history of wine culture, and even learn how to make wine yourself! After your tour you will be transported back to your hotel for an independent dinner and relaxation time.

After breakfast, you will be transported to your final session of Italian language at the local school from the morning to the afternoon. By this time you will have been enriched and enlightened into Italian greetings, and history! Say farewell to your teachers as you break for your daily lunch break. After lunch you will be transported back to your hotel to relax before your traditional Italian Dinner in a typical trattoria! Trattoria is a traditional Italian dining restaurant often used by locals, giving you a feel of the true Italy! After your traditional dinner, you will be transported back to your hotel to pack and relax for the evening.
