Upon arrival at the airport, you will be met by a local guide and will embark on a Panoramic Tour of London including most of the key sites such as Westminster Abbey, the Houses of Parliament, Trafalgar Square, Buckingham Palace, and Piccadilly Circus. A welcome dinner in a traditional London pub will take place and then you will have your first overnight stay at your hotel in London.

Start your day with a visit to the historic Greenwich. Here, you will visit the Royal Observatory, home of Greenwich Mean Time and the Prime Meridian line, one of the most important historic scientific sites in the world. Stroll through the beautiful Greenwich Park, the birthplace of Henry VIII and Elizabeth I and visit the old Royal Naval College with its many years of royal history and the magnificent painted hall and chapel. You will then take a Cruise on the River Thames to Tower Pier where you will visit the Tower of London. The Tower was the refuge of Richard II during the Peasants’ Revolt, the prison of Sir Thomas More, Sir Walter Raleigh and the future Queen Elizabeth I, and the execution place of Lady Jane Grey (British sovereign for 9 days), Anne Boleyn and Catherine Howard, Henry VIII’s second and fourth queens. The tower holds many of the Crown Jewels and are a magnificent sight to see! Later on, take in a show or play in a West End Theatre or perhaps even Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre.

Enjoy a full day excursion to Bath & Stonehenge. Firstly you will drive westwards towards Stonehenge. 5,000-year-old Stonehenge is Europe’s most famous prehistoric site and, though we know from the stone’s alignment that worship of the sun and moon took place here, the rituals themselves are still shrouded in mystery. You will then visit the ancient Roman city of Bath. The city retains so much of its Georgian charm that Austen fans will recognize many streets and squares from her novels. You will view the magnificent Royal Crescent, perhaps the most attractive street in the country, the Pump Rooms and visit the beautifully preserved and fascinating Roman Baths.

Today’s excursion will be to Oxford and Stratford. You will firstly drive to Oxford. The City of Dreaming Spires, is famous the world over for its University and place in history. For over 800 years it has been a home to royalty, scholars and writers. Nowadays, the city is a bustling cosmopolitan town. You will get the opportunity to visit Christ Church, one of the largest colleges in the University of Oxford, the inspiration for Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland and recently was the inspiration for scenes in the Harry Potter films. You will then leave Oxford and drive to Stratford upon Avon, where you will visit Shakespeare’s Birthplace. The 16th Century half-timbered house of glove-maker John Shakespeare is where the young William was born and brought up. Today it houses an exhibition of the life of the world’s greatest playwright. You will also visit Shakespeare’s grave in Trinity Church.

Enjoy a free day to experience London on your own at your own pace. You may wish to add a visit and guided tour of one or more of the famous London Museums, such as the British Museum, National Gallery, National Portrait Gallery, Museum of London, Science Museum, Natural History Museum and Tate Gallery. Ask us about the London Visitor Oyster cards for use on public transport during your free time, or a ticket for the Hop on Hop off bus. Later on in the evening a farewell Dinner in either the hotel or a local restaurant will take place.

Upon awakening, prepare to be transferred from your hotel in London to the London Heathrow  Airport for your return trip home.
