You'll spend 11 days and 9 nights exploring Puglia and the Amalfi coast area of Italy, including: Ostuni with an olive oil tasting, picturesque Alberobello, Polignano a Mare, Bari and you'll learn to make bread in Altamura. Then head west to experience Sorrento, the ancient charm of Ischia, the breathtaking isle of Capri and finally, explore the Amalfi coast by sea (weather permitting) before heading north to Rome for your final night in Italy.

Itinerary
Today you will depart on the overnight flight to Bari.
Arrive at Bari airport. Meet the your Tour Manager. Transfer to Polignano a Mare hotel. The remainder of your day is at leisure. Lunch on your own. Welcome dinner at a local restaurant or at hotel restaurant.
Take a charming walk through the narrow streets of Ostuni, famously known as the White City, and explore its historic old town. Discover the town’s unique architecture, local life, and picturesque alleys. Continue with a visit to a traditional olive oil mill where you’ll learn the secrets behind producing extra virgin olive oil. Conclude with a tasting of high-quality local olive oils, experiencing the authentic flavors of this iconic tradition and a lunch.
Relax and enjoy your morning at leisure. This afternoon, a guided visit of Alberobello, a most picturesque gem in the Itria Valley. Wander through Alberobello’s UNESCO-listed streets, famous for its unique trulli houses, and discover the history behind these iconic stone dwellings. In the evening, you'll visit Polignano a Mare for a leisurely walk through its hidden alleys and breathtaking coastal views and enjoy dinner at a local restaurant.
Bari, the capital city of the Apulia region in southern Italy, is known for its rich culinary tradition. A food tour in Bari can be a delightful experience, offering you the chance to taste local specialties and immerse yourself in the vibrant food culture. After your visit in Bari, you'll transfer to Altamura.
The use of durum wheat along with sourdough is a secret carefully guarded by local bakers in their ovens. Follow the paths of bread and uncover all the secrets guided by a baker with 'hands in the dough.' After an introductory tour of the bread-making process and historical insights on the topic, you will learn how to make focaccia and bread. Bread, a simple and ancient product, has characterized the lives of all Mediterranean people from the very beginning. The story of bread is a grand one, rich in wisdom and poetry, art, and faith.
Tonight, enjoy dinner at the hotel.
Today, you’re off to Sorrento - on the way you’ll stop to visit Matera. You’ll have lunch in an Agriturismo and visit Matera for a guided tour and a visit of the Sassi. After this long day, you’ll have a relaxing dinner at the hotel.
This morning, transfer from the hotel to Sorrento port, then board the ferry to Ischia. Travel across the Bay of Naples by high-speed ferry, then meet your guide and private driver in Ischia Porto for a guided tour of the island. Highlights include the dramatic Castello Aragonese (outside visit only), a fortified islet connected to Ischia by a 14th-century bridge, as well as visits to Forio, home to the seaside Church of Santa Maria del Soccorso, and Lacco Ameno, known for its iconic Fungo rock formation.
The day concludes with time to unwind at one of Ischia’s most beautiful hot springs thermal parks before returning to Naples by hydrofoil, taking with you unforgettable memories of the island’s natural beauty and rich history. There will be time for lunch on your own. This evening, you'll have dinner at a local restaurant.
This morning, transfer from the hotel to Sorrento port, then board the ferry to Capri. From Marina Grande in Capri, you’ll make your way up to Anacapri, a charming hilltop town known for its narrow streets and breathtaking views. Wander its picturesque lanes on a guided walk. Then, descend to the lively heart of Capri Town where your guide will bring the island’s atmosphere to life. Pause in the lively Piazzetta, often referred to as the island’s living room, wander the elegant boutiques and designer shops along Via Camerelle, and take in breathtaking vistas that frame the iconic Faraglioni rock formations. Between sightseeing, you’ll enjoy free time. In the afternoon, return to Sorrento by ferry and transfer back to the hotel.
Today lunch and dinner will be on your own.
A full day tour of the Amalfi coast by private boat with stops to visit Positano and Amalfi. (Depending on the weather, this tour may be done via bus)
Lunch is on your own today, and dinner will be at a local restaurant.
This morning, you’re off to Naples with your guide where you will have a tour of the major sights like Piazza del Gesu’ and Spaccanapoli and see the Veiled Christ (subject to ticket availability).
Later, enjoy an authentic Neapolitan pizza lunch. Tonight, you'll enjoy dinner at the hotel.
This morning you will depart for home from Rome FCO airport, arriving the same day.
