Baptists are the largest Evangelical group in Israel today. This vibrant and growing community enjoys fellowship together through the Association of Baptist Churches in Israel, which seeks to be salt and light and glorify God. During the tour participants will explore the roots of their faith in the land of the Bible. Embark on this spiritual journey and walk in the footsteps of Jesus – to the places he taught and ministered. The scriptures will come alive as you visit notable sites mentioned in the Bible, such as: The City of David, the Garden of Gethsemane, the house of the High Priest Caiaphas, the Temple Mount (Mount Moriah), Caesarea Philippi, Mt. Carmel, Capernaum, Megiddo, the Sea of Galilee, Gideon’s Spring, Tabgha and many more.

DAY 1: DEPART USA
Depart for your overnight flight to Tel Aviv. Meals will be served on board.
DAY 2: TEL AVIV - TIBERIAS
Upon arrival at Ben Gurion airport, your Perillo Tours representative will be waiting to greet and assist you. After leaving the arrival hall meet your guide and driver and depart for Tiberias. The rest of the day is at leisure to help adjust to your new time zone. Dinner and Overnight accommodations at your hotel in Tiberias. (D.)
DAY 3: SEA OF GALILEE - CAPERNAUM - TABGHA
The day starts with a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee. At Kibbutz Ginosar visit the “Jesus Boat”. Continue to explore the ruins of Capernaum, the town where Jesus made his home after leaving Nazareth. View the remains of the ancient synagogue, in which he may have preached & the house of the Apostle Peter. Continue on to Tabgha where Jesus miraculously multiplied two fish and five loaves of bread to feed the crowds that followed him. Drive to the Mt. of Beatitudes, site of the Sermon on the Mount. Visit the newly dug site of Bethsaida, which, according to scripture, is the site of the feeding of the 5,000. Continue to Kursi, the site of the miracle of the swine. Return to Tiberius. Dinner and overnight: Hotel in Tiberius. (B.D.)
DAY 4: TEL DAN - CAESAREA PHILIPPI - GOLAN HEIGHTS
After breakfast drive along the Hula Valley to Tel Dan & visit the remains of the city. Continue on to Caesarea Philippi, where Peter made his confession of faith to Jesus. Stop at Mt. Bental for a special panoramic view. Via a ride through the Golan Heights we return to the northern shore of the Sea of Galilee, the area where Jesus spent his years of ministry. Dinner and overnight accommodations at your hotel. (B.D.)
DAY 5: BEIT SHE’AN - GIDEON’S SPRING – MEGGIDO- JERUSALEM
Today you will leave Tiberias and drive to Beit She’an where recent excavations have disclosed the impressive ruins of the country’s largest city in the Roman and Byzantine periods which was destroyed by an earthquake in 749 CE. The tour continues through the Jordan Valley past Jericho, believed to be the world’s oldest walled city. This was the first city taken by Joshua when the Hebrew people returned from Egypt – “and the walls fell down”. It was also the site of the Mount of Temptation (Mark 1:13). Drive to Jerusalem passing the traditional site of the Inn of the Good Samaritan. Enter the city of Jerusalem in the traditional way & view the city from Mt. Scopus. Dinner and overnight accommodation at your Hotel. (B.D.)
DAY 6: JERUSALEM
In the morning ascend the Mount of Olives for a breathtaking panoramic view of the Old City of Jerusalem. Walk along the Palm Sunday Way and descend to the Garden of Gethsemane where Jesus spent the last night before he was arrested. Visit the famous Church of All Nations. Drive along the “last way” to Mt. Zion. Walk in the Kidron Valley and see the Tombs of Absalom, Zachary and James. Stand next to the Southern Wall and view the City of David. Visit the Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu, the site where Peter denied the Lord three times. It was also the House of the High Priest Caiaphas where Jesus was interrogated. DAY 7: EIN GEDI - MASADA - QUMRAN - DEAD SEA- JERUSALEM
After breakfast drive along the shores of the Dead Sea to Ein Gedi, an oasis on the shores of the Dead Sea. Near the 200-meter-high waterfall is a cave where David had his famous meeting with King Saul (First Samuel 24: 1-23). A walk around the reservation confirms that Ein Gedi is one of the most beautiful nature reserves in the world. Continue to Masada. Ascend Masada by cable car. Explore the ancient excavation of Herod’s Palace, the bathhouse, the storerooms, the ramp, and the oldest synagogue in the world. Continue on to Qumran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found. Enjoy an afternoon “float’ at the Dead Sea. Drive back to Jerusalem. Dinner and overnight. (B.D.)
DAY 8: JERUSALEM
After breakfast drive to Mt Moriah. Visit the Western Wall, last remnant of the second Jewish Temple during the time of Jesus. Walk up to the Temple site and view the Dome of the Rock and El Aqsa Mosque. Visit the Cardo (the Jewish Quarter), the Rabbinical Tunnel and the Davidson Center (Southern Wall). Walk to the Pool of Bethesda and St. Anne’s Church, a fine example of Crusader architecture. Walk through the colorful Bazaar to the Jaffa Gate. In the afternoon visit The City of David and the Pool of Siloam. Dinner and overnight accommodations at your hotel in Jerusalem. (B.D.)
DAY 9: JERUSALEM
This morning stop at the Menorah, across from the Knesset (Israeli parliament building). Visit the Israel Museum, where the Dead Sea Scrolls are on display and the Holy Land walk-around model of the city of Jerusalem as it was in the Second Temple period. Visit Yad Vashem, the Holocaust Museum. End your visit to Jerusalem with communion at the Garden Tomb. Farewell dinner. Dinner and overnight accommodations at your hotel. (B.D.)
