Arrival at Lima airport, where you meet your Perillo Tours representative and drive to your hotel. The rest of the day is free to help adjust with your new time zone. In the evening, enjoy a welcome dinner at La Rosa Nautica restaurant located on a pier leading into the Pacific Ocean. (D.)

After breakfast drive to Lima’s historic center to celebrate mass at the church of the city’s patron, Santa Rosa de Lima. After, we begin our city tour at the Plaza de Armas with its colonial buildings such as the Government Palace, the Municipality, the Palace of the Archbishop and the Cathedral, amongst others. All these buildings are gathered around the history laden square. You will visit San Francisco Monastery with its maze of tunnels and catacombs that served as a mass grave. After, we head to San Isidro and Miraflores. In San Isidro, visit Olive Park. In Miraflores, visit the Love Park where we have a view over the cliffs and the Pacific. Finish our tour with a visit to Larco Herrera museum. With more than 45.000 objects of pre-Columbian ceramics, textiles and gold and silver pieces, it houses one of the most impressive collections. We have dinner at “L’Eau Vive” in the colonial city center which is run by French nuns who support social causes with the restaurant’s profits. At night, the nuns chant the Ave Maria at the restaurant. Return to our hotel for overnight accommodations. (B.D.) 

We visit a day care center “Casa Belen” that look after more than 90 children living in the poor Breña neighborhood (supported by the Lutheran Peruvian-German church). After we transfer to the district of Barranco the bohemian heart of Lima where many of the country's foremost artists, musicians, photographers and designers live and work. Its charming colonial and Republican mansions, flowery parks and languid aura give it a distinctly romantic feel. We stop at the Bridge of Sighs, an ancient but solid bridge which has long inspired poets and songwriters like Chabuca Grande. Admire the old houses and the view of the ocean. Guests interested can also visit one of the gallery and art shops. We also visit Pedro de Osma museum in Barranco. We finish the day, attend evening mass at the church of San Francisco de Barranco. Return to our hotel for dinner and overnight. (B.D.)

After breakfast we attend morning mass at a church in the Miraflores district. After Transfer to the airport for our flight to Arequipa. Arrival and transfer to your hotel.

Arequipa is located at 2,335m (7,660ft.) above sea level, in a fertile valley surrounded by three majestic snow-capped volcanoes: “Misti”, “Chachani”, and “Pichu Pichu”. The White City boasts a unique architecture: as you wander the streets, admire its breath-taking plaza, baroque-style churches, and colonial mansions made of white volcanic stone called “sillar”. Renowned for its gastronomy, taste classic dishes like “ocopa”, “solterito”, or “chupe de camarones” (prawn chowder). Adventure outside the city to admire its sublime landscapes, its national parks, and some of the world’s deepest canyons.

Enjoy dinner at “La Trattoria del Monasterio”, a restaurant that is built into the outside Wall of the famous Santa Catalina Monastery. Return to our hotel for overnight accommodations.(B.D.)

In the morning we attend mass in one of the 70+ churches in Arequipa. After we start our city tour leading us to the main square with the Cathedral (outside visit), the church La Compañía, the district of San Lazaro and the outer districts of Yanahuara and Cayma. Then, visit the “city within the city“, the monastery Santa Catalina. For over 400 years, nuns were living cut off from the outside world and without any contact to their families. Only in 1970, it was opened to the public. Dinner and overnight accommodations at our hotel. (B.D.)

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Cusco. Arrival and transfer to your hotel. In the afternoon, walk through the cobblestone streets of the San Blas neighborhood with many handicraft shops – ideal for souvenir shopping. Also visit a small shop specialized in “cirios”, votive candles in all sizes, with simple or intricate and colorful designs. Celebrate evening mass at San Blas church, the oldest church in Cusco from the 16th century. The church houses the most extraordinary wooden carvings shaped in the Spanish Churriguerra style. Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight accommodations. (B.D.)

Attend morning mass in one of Cusco beautiful churches. Then start your walking tour at the “Plaza de Armas” and visit the impressive renaissance-style Cathedral. Make your way through small alleys edged with Incan walls until you reach Koricancha, the temple dedicated to the sun, “Inti”. Believed to be the most important temple for the Incas, it was destroyed by the Spanish conquerors in the 16th century. Its foundations were used to build the Catholic Church Santo Domingo, marking an evident clash of cultures. The afternoon is free. In the evening, short walk to a nearby restaurant for dinner. Start your full-day Sacred Valley tour in the small village of Chinchero that blends history together with its Andean mountain views, Inca ruins and terraces, and a church from the colonial era. Attend mass in the local language Quechua. Chinchero is the weaving center of the country and is renowned for its colorful Sunday market. Then, explore Moray and its unique circular agricultural terraces.  Admire over 3,000 salt ponds in Maras. Discover the remarkable ruins of Ollantaytambo, one of the few places where the Incas won a battle against the Spaniards. Climb up the platforms and enjoy the view above the village and onto the valley. Near the ruins, visit a typical home and learn about the unique way their family has lived for generations in the Sacred Valley. Dinner and overnight at your hotel in the Sacred Valley. (B.D.)

In the morning, board the train and enjoy the stunning Andean views filled with small communities and snow-capped mountains in the Sacred Valley. We arrive to Aguas Calientes, the small village nestled at the bottom of Machu Picchu, take the shuttle bus up to the ancient citadel. Learn about the Inca civilization, the site’s discovery, and the different theories on this mysterious and spectacular archeological site. After we take our coach back down to Aguas Calientes, then the train, and drive back to your hotel in Cusco for dinner and overnight accommodations. (B.D.)
