Depart for your overnight flight to Tirana, Albania. Meals will be served on board.

After clearing passport control you will be greeted by your Perillo Tours representative and transfer by private air-condition motor coach to your hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure to help adjust to your new time zone. In the evening your Perillo welcome dinner has been arranged at a local restaurant. (D.)

After breakfast we take a short drive to the old town of Lac. We visit Saint Anton church; it's believed to have healing powers and visited by many. History here dates back to the 12th century and is filled with tales of mistreated monks by enemies of Christians, including the Ottoman Empire. Return to Tirana for lunch. In the afternoon we visit the Archaeological Museum and the National Gallery of Arts. After, return to your hotel to freshen up for your dinner at a local restaurant. (B.L.D.)

Explore the City of Durres after breakfast, once a major Roman port, visit the Amphitheater and Archeological Museum. Continue to Via Egnatia, Apostle Paul penetrated the heart of Albania, tradition holds that St. Paul introduced Christianity into Albania and founded the church of Durres. Continue to Apollonia, (ancient Hellenic city). Take the opportunity to visit the site, museum and the church of Saint Mary, built in the 13th century. After stop for your included lunch, continue your excursion to the coastal town of Vlora, with stops at the nicest coastal villages on the way to visiting the Castle of  Palermo. After you arrive in Saranda, enjoy dinner at a local restaurant. Return to your hotel for your overnight accommodations. (B.L.D.)

After breakfast we visit the UNESCO World Heritage site of Butrint, Albania’s most important archaeological site and the “gem of the country”. We will also visit Butrint National Park. Butrint was the site of an Epirot city, a Roman colony and a bishopric. Ancient Buthrotum was officially recognized by the Council as a Christian center. We'll visit the paleo-Christian mosaics, as well as the Paleo Christian Basilica and other early Christian sites. After, we stop for lunch at a local restaurant. Continue to a beautiful beach at the Ksamili Islands for free time by the sea. We conclude today's excursion with dinner at a local restaurant. Breakfast, we depart to the Mesopotamian site, we visit a 12th century Byzantine Monastery, mentioned in the Battle between the Norman Crusaders and the Byzantines. We visit the historical Christian site. We continue to the nearby, ancient city of Phoinice, the Roman theater with 15,000+ seats, is one the largest in the world. After, stop for lunch at a local restaurant. Continue and visit the synagogue of Saranda which dates from the 5th or 6th century it was converted to a church then abandoned. After breakfast head to Gjirokastra, upon arrival visit the church of Labove E Kryqit, one of the oldest churches in Albania. A holy relic believed to be a fragment of the true cross was stolen during the civil unrest of the early 1990s. In the afternoon a panoramic walking tour of the Old Town of Gjirokastra commences, visit the Ethnographic Museum once the house of the communist dictator, Enver Hoxha. Also visit the Castle of Gjirokastra, one of the largest castles in the Balkans. Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight accommodations. (B.L.D.)

Drive through the Kelçyra Gorge the famous battle site between King Philip of Macedonia and the Roman army of Proconsul Paulius Emilius. After, stop for lunch at a local restaurant. Continue with a visit to the Byzantine Church of Saint Mary of Kosina. Enjoy the views of the Vjosa Valley, after, depart for the small city of Permet. Explore Permet  with a 1/2 mile walk to the village of Leusa, where you’ll see the Byzantine Church. A great example of rural architecture. After breakfast depart for the southeast and visit Korca the region's capital, located by the Morava Mountains. Korça was known as “Little Paris” in the 1930’s because of its intellectual life style. Visit the beautiful 13th Century church of Mborja with its frescos considered the finest workmanship in the region. After, dine at a local restaurant and overnight in Korça. (B.L.D.)

Today drive to the village of Voskopoja after breakfast, considered the Holy land to local Orthodox Christians. This village boasted 24 churches during the 18th century. The remaining churches in the region today are among the most representative of the ecclesiastical art in the Balkans. Their murals are comparable to Mount Athos and Meteora in Greece.  Stop for lunch then continue to Tirana for dinner overnight accommodations. (B.L.D.)
